August 9, 2010
BOSTON — CB Richard Ellis/New England announced that it has arranged a new 47,124 square foot lease with DivcoWest/Taurus Investment Holdings on behalf of Avnet, Inc., one of the world’s largest transnational distributors of technology, at 400 Riverpark Drive in North Reading, MA.
Avnet, ranked first in their industry by Fortune magazine’s list of “Most Admired Companies” for the second year in a row, will move into the 150,000 square foot Class A office building come October. In addition to its core distribution services, Avnet brings a breadth and depth of service capabilities, such as supply-chain and design-chain services, logistics solutions, and computer system configuration to North Reading.
The CBRE team of David Pergola, Executive Vice President/Partner, Mark Reardon, Executive Vice President/Partner, and Jason Levendusky, First Vice President, negotiated the lease on behalf of landlords DivcoWest and Taurus Investment Holdings. Matt Daniels, Senior Vice President, and Chris Lawrence, Vice President, at Colliers Meredith & Grew represented Avnet.
“400 Riverpark Drive is a prime location with excellent nearby amenities for our employees and is a great fit for our company,” said Robert Gracz, VP Director Corporate Real Estate.
“This was a terrific transaction for both Avnet and DivcoWest/Taurus Investment Holdings,” said CBRE’s David Pergola. “DivcoWest/Taurus secures an esteemed tenant in a long-term lease, while Avnet retains space in an area that grows more vibrant.”
Built in 1992, 400 Riverpark Drive was purchased and renovated by DivcoWest/Taurus Investment Holdings in 2008. Located within a campus setting, the building offers several amenities including on-site food service, fitness center, childcare and proximity to the region’s major highway network. 400 Riverpark Drive is easily accessible via Exit 39 off Interstate 93 and is within eight miles to both Interstate 93/95 and Interstate 93/495 interchanges. The central location of this Class A office space has the added advantage of access to labor pools in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
