Taurus makes second Canadian acquisition

Taurus Investment Holdings, LLC has acquired the Cookstown Outlet Mall in the Toronto suburb of Innisfil, Ontario for $42.9 million from Cookstown Holdings, Ltd.

The Cookstown Outlet Mall is located at 509 Bayfield St. in Innisfil, a town about one hour north of Toronto. The enclosed mall contains 160,117 square feet and includes tenants such as Adidas, Tommy Hilfiger, Levis, Paderno, Samsonite, Liz Claiborne and Nine West.

The acquisition represents Taurus' second acquisition in the Canadian real estate market. In December 2007, the firm paid $39.75 million the former Fashion Building in downtown Toronto. The seller, Cookstown Holdings, was an interim receiver that is managed by The Fuller Landau Group, Inc.
